ART2026: Koodi Irunthu Kulirndhu, A First Thirukalyana Anubhavam

Doodles and Devotee Diaries

By Sri Senthilprakash Ramanujam

Adiyen had the supreme bhagyam of witnessing our NAMA Divya Dampathi Thirukalyana Utsavam for the first time. The atmosphere truly epitomised the spirit of “Koodi irunthu kulirndhu, reminding me of the first three Alwars – Poigai Alwar, Bhoothathalwar, and Peyalwar, who shared space in Thirukkovilur to perform Mangalasasanam to Lord Sriman Narayana. It felt as though our Divya Dampathi were smiling with boundless grace, witnessing so many of their children realise the Saranagathy Thathuvam and walk the rightful path of devotion together.

The Utsavam was a complete Bhagavath Anubhavavam, encompassing every divine element, from the soulful Sangeetham and Nrithyam (songs and dance) to the sacred vibrations of Veda Parayanam, the purity of the Homam, and the nectar-like Aruliseyal. It was a holistic celebration of our rich heritage.

A significant highlight was the enthusiastic participation of children and youth, from the Pondugal event through to the conclusion of the four-day Utsavam. Their involvement is vital for carrying our rich traditions forward. Adiyen was left spellbound by the meticulous Alankara and Pushpa Kaingaryam. In particular, the sight of our Divya Dampathi post Thirumanjanam, adorned in Pink Vasthram, was a vision of pure grace.

Finally, Koti Namaskarams to the Andal Ghoshti, who served as the tireless ‘nuclear engine’ of the Utsavam—fueling the entire event with intense devotion and unwavering energy from the very beginning until its divine completion
