In this class, we were introduced to Chitra-Kavya, which is an ancient Indian way of writing poetry in a visual pattern. The verses of the poems are constructed in a way that mimics objects seen in the real world. One of the types of Chitra-Kavya poems that we explored was shaped in the form of a chessboard with the pattern of the verses following the movement of the knight.
