On 1st May 2025, right in the sacred month of Chithirai, the birth month of Swamy Ramanuja, the Sri Ramanuja Society came together for a beautiful satsang at our home in Serangoon Central. It was a simple yet deeply meaningful gathering filled with devotion, music, and community spirit. We began with mangala harathi to Andal and Rangamanner, followed by a recitation of prabandams and stotrams by the ghosti. Some of the slokas included were Thiru Pallandu, Ramanuja Nootrandadi, Prabanda Saaram, Yathiraja Sapthathi, and Yathiraja Vimsathi.
The sevakalam, led by Sri. Mukund Swamy brought everyone together in heartfelt prayer. The satsang reached its peak with the satrumurai, which was led by Sri. Kidambi Srikanth Swamy, where we offered naivedyam and mangala harathi to the divine couple, Andal and Rangamannar.
One of the highlights of the event was seeing the children from the Rockers group joyfully participate alongside our elders. Their lively recitations and songs filled the space with hope and happiness, reminding us how these traditions continue to grow with each generation.
The event was wrapped up with delicious prasadam and bhakshanams lovingly prepared by the Andal ghosti. Celebrating Swamy Ramanuja’s Vaibhavam, especially during his birth month, made this event a lot more special. It was a day of devotion, togetherness, and simple joy.
