By the boundless krupai of our acharyas and the bhagyam of the Sri Ramanuja Society, we had the divine fortune of hosting Sri U. Ve. Thirukudanthai Dr. Venkatesh Swami at one of our members’ homes on the auspicious afternoon of 15th June 2025.
The day commenced on an uplifting note with a soulful rendition of Thondaradippodi Azhwar’s Thirumalai, melodiously set to tune by Smt. Sripriya Vijay and offered with deep devotion by the young Rockers. Their vibrant voices and bhakti-laden performance filled the air with divinity and set the tone for the rest of the day.
This was followed by an enlightening upanyasam by Dr. Venkatesh Swami on the profound meanings and inner essence of the Thirumalai Pasurams. Swami eloquently brought out the bhava behind Azhwar’s outpourings of devotion, interspersing the discourse with captivating anecdotes and delightful references from our Itihasa Puranas. Even the youngest members of the audience were drawn in, listening with rapt attention to the timeless wisdom made so accessible and engaging. Swami concluded the discourse on a spiritually elevating note, emphasizing the unparalleled power and significance of Perumal Namasmaranam — the constant remembrance and chanting of the Divine Names.
We were deeply blessed when Dr. Venkatesh Swami graciously consented to inaugurate the official website of the Sri Ramanuja Society, marking a significant milestone for our humble satsangam. Following this, Sri Mukund Swami, Sri Sudhir Swami and Sri Krishnamachari Swami offered their respects and honoured Swami on behalf of the society.
The satsangam concluded with group photographs, divine fellowship (sambandham), and the distribution of prasadam, lovingly prepared and served — a perfect sweet ending to a spiritually fulfilling day.
May such divine satsangs continue to enrich our lives and strengthen our connection with our sampradaya, acharyas, and the lotus feet of Sri Ranganatha.
