Andal’s choice of words echoes the sweetness found in Thirumangai Āzhwār’s Siriya Thirumadal, “vennai thirandathanil verōr kalathittu”. The word “verōr” carries a subtle sweetness, pointing to Krishna’s unique, incomparable nature. Through “Māyanai pāḍelōr”, Andal invites us to sing of this wondrous Lord, whose actions delight and instruct at the same time.
