Nava Grantha Mala

Doodles and Devotee Diaries

With the boundless grace of our Acharya Parampara and in deep reverence to Bhagavad Ramanuja, Srimad Azhagiyasingar, the 46th Pattam Srimad Srivan Satakopa Sri Ranganatha Yateendra Mahadesikan of Ahobila Mutt, offered the Nava Grantha Maalaa — a golden haaramaalai symbolising the nine sacred works (navaratna granthas) authored by Swami Ramanuja — at the divine sannidhi of Sriperumbudur Ramanujar.

The Nava Grantha Maalaa includes the following priceless gems of Vedantic wisdom, arranged in a clockwise manner:

  1. Sri Bhashyam (central and foremost jewel)
  2. Nithya Grantham
  3. Sri Vaikunta Gadyam
  4. Sri Ranga Gadyam
  5. Sharanagati Gadyam
  6. Vedanta Sangraham
  7. Vedanta Deepam
  8. Vedanta Saaram
  9. Sri Bhagavad Gita Bhashyam

Each grantham radiates the divine brilliance of Swami Ramanuja’s intellect, compassion, and deep commitment to Vishishtadvaita Siddhanta and Bhagavad Anugraham.

In a parallel act of devotion, Smt. Sumithra Sarangan, Sri Sarangan and Sow. Sharanya offered a beautiful pushpa haaram — lovingly strung with fresh, fragrant flowers — to the vigraham of Sri Ramanujar installed by NAMA.

This sacred samarpanam was not just a symbolic gesture, but an act of surrender, gratitude, and deep bhakti — uniting acharya, grantham, and bhakta in the divine aura of Sriperumbudur, the avathara sthalam of our Udayavar.

May Sri Ramanuja’s divine words continue to illumine our hearts, and may the blessings of Srimad Azhagiyasingar guide us always on the path of bhakti, ananya sharanagathi, and acharya nishtai.
